About SIYPC
The Singapore International Young Pianist Competition (SIYPC) is an international platform dedicated to discovering, recognizing, and supporting the next generation of pianists. Founded in 2018 by the Global International Musicians Association (GIMA), SIYPC brings together young musicians, distinguished adjudicators, educators, and arts organizations from around the world.
As a subsidiary competition of the Singapore International Piano Competition (SIPC) and a certified member competition of the Alink-Argerich Foundation (AAF), SIYPC is part of an international network committed to excellence in piano performance and competition.
Through a structured system of Regional Preliminary Rounds and the Global Grand Finals in Singapore, SIYPC offers young pianists a clear pathway from regional recognition to the international stage. Participants are evaluated by accomplished musicians and pedagogues, providing them with meaningful professional feedback, recognition, and opportunities for advancement.
In the United States, SIYPC has established regional competition activities in major cultural centers including Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, creating multiple access points for young pianists to participate in the competition’s international framework. Through these regional divisions, emerging musicians have the opportunity to present their artistry, receive professional adjudication, and advance toward the Global Grand Finals in Singapore.
